Joanette Lima Nativo, PT, MS, CPE
The Ergonomic Focus team is led by certified professional ergonomist Joanette Lima Nativo. For over 28 years, Ms. Lima Nativo has worked with a variety of industries to develop and implement effective strategies for ergonomic risk reduction and injury prevention. From ergonomic evaluations and analysis, to workplace design, to furniture and equipment selection, to management and employee training, she has utilized her education and experience to save companies money.
No matter what the industry, worksite evaluations, good ergonomic design and ergonomics training are vital today. Effective ergonomics processes will optimize employee health and productivity. Ms. Lima Nativo is a dynamic and resourceful problem solver who can partner with clients on individual projects or on an ongoing basis to reduce risk and prevent injury. This was the case when she worked with the Disneyland Resort for nearly nine years.
Whether a single person office, a public agency or a global corporation Ms. Lima Nativo will custom design programs, train business owners and managers, and make certain employees understand their key role in maintaining their own well-being.
Ms. Lima Nativo has been a CPE (Certified Professional Ergonomist) since 1996, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy, and earned a Master’s of Science in Exercise Science. In addition to her consulting work she teaches Ergonomics at the University Level. She is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the American Society of Safety Professionals and the American Physical Therapy Association.
